Athletics Beat Orioles for 13th Straight Victory

The Oakland Athletics started the 2021 season losing six straight games and seven of eight. Since then, they’ve been the hottest team in baseball, winning 12 straight and were aiming for number 13 at Baltimore on April 24th. The Athletics beat the Orioles in Baltimore 7-2 April 24th for that lucky number 13 win.

During the streak, Oakland beat the Astros and Diamondbacks twice on the road, swept four from the Tigers and three from the Twins in Oakland (including a wild 13-12 win over the Twins in 10 innings) and now two in Baltimore, with one more game with the Orioles April 25th.

Oakland improved to 14-7, but the Seattle Mariners are just a game behind in the American League West at 13-8. The Athletics and Mariners haven’t met yet, and won’t until a three game set in Oakland May 24th-26th.
