Anaheim Wins Fourth Straight, Moves Into 1st Place in NHL Pacific
The Anaheim Ducks have been on a roll as we enter the final two weeks of the NHL regular season. The Ducks beat the New York Rangers 6-3 in Anaheim on March 26th for their fourth straight victory. The Ducks are 9-2-1 in March, and the victory over the Rangers propelled them into 1st place in the NHL Pacific Division with 93 points, two better than the slumping San Jose Sharks who have lost six straight and are tied with Edmonton for 2nd place.
Patrick Eaves, recently acquired in a trade, has fit in nicely for Anaheim. Eaves scored two goals in the victory over the Rangers. Ryan Getzlaf had four assists. The Ducks have seven regular season games left, including two against the Calgary Flames, another hot team in the Pacific, plus games against Edmonton and Chicago, so staying at the top won’t be easy. San Jose also has seven games left, including two each with Edmonton and Calgary.
