After Dropping the 1st Two Games of Their Playoff Series at Home, Cavaliers Beat Pacers on the Road 126-104
The Cleveland Cavaliers are the top seed in the Eastern Conference of the NBA, but you wouldn’t know that based on the first two games of their playoff series with the Indiana Pacers. Cleveland lost the 1st two games of the series. Indiana won Game 1 121-112 and Game 2 120-119. Tyrese Haliburton came up big in both games for the Pacers, hitting a three pointer with 1.1 seconds to go in Game 2, (part of his 19 point, nine rebound game), and he scored 22 with 13 assists in Game 1. The Cavaliers were missing Evan Mobley, De’Andre Hunter, and Darius Garland due to injuries Game 2, but all three were back for Game 3, perhaps realizing that this thing was getting away from them.
Donavan Mitchell scored 43, Mobley had 18 points and 13 rebounds, and Jarrett Allen scored 19 with 12 rebounds and the Cavaliers beat the Pacers 126-104 in Indianapolis on May 9th. Just as importantly, the Cleveland defense held Haliburton to just four points. Benedict Mathurin scored 23 off the bench to lead Indiana.
Cleveland will try to even the series at 2-2 in Game 4 in Indianapolis on May 11th.
