Joy Behar Disses Snooki Apology

Joy Behar thought Snooki was just trying to suck up to Barbara Walters with that apology on the Wendy Williams Show. Snooki said:

“Obviously, Joy talks a lot about us. And we just wanted to, you know, make it silly and just, you know, just have fun with it and everyone took it too seriously, so I took the video down. You know, we feel bad about it. And I guess they talked about it on ‘The View.’ I’m a big fan of ‘The View’ and Barbara Walters, so, you know, I`m sorry.”

Joy asked her panel — comedian Judy Gold. Roy Sekoff, founding editor of the Huffington Post and Laura Bennett, designer and author of “Didn`t I Feed You Yesterday? A Mother`s Guide to Sanity in Stilettos” — if they thought Snooki was sincere because obviously, she didn’t: “OK, Roy, do you think she`s just angling to get back on ‘The View?’ What do you think?”

Roy sarcastically said that Snooki loved Barbara`s interview with Kissinger. Joy said that she wasn’t mad at Snooki and J-Woww: “You know, I’m not mad at them. I don`t know who took it so seriously. It wasn’t me … I liked it”

Judy Gold didn’t like it, and thinks Snooki is “such an idiot, she gives ignorance a bad name. OK? She — there is something wrong with her. The fact that she actually referred to the Great Depression, that to me, I was blown away … I was blown away she even knew what the Great Depression was.”

And, Judy Gold also brought up the part that we said we were surprised Joy ignored: “The favorite part was when she said, and Joy’s a Jew.”

Joy said: “You know why she says that? Because she knows that I’m Italian, and because I’m Italian, I say they’re not really Italian. Because you know, we don’t want them representing us. You know what I mean?

Roy Sekoff said: “It`s very confusing, though. She calls you a Jew. And people think she`s an Italian … But she`s… I’m very confused.”

“As we said before,” Joy responded, “the Chilean miners went back down into the mine when they found out she was Chilean.”
