Diany Rodriguez played Valentina Santiago, the mother of the teenager that Bunchy shot in the back when he was running out the door. Bunchy is so overwhelmed with guilt that he can’t stay away from the hospital to see if the boy is going to make it, we guess. Who knows what possessed him to approach Valentina when she was having trouble with the soda machine and think she would even want to look at him.

Lois Smith played Dolores, the lady at the commune who was able to stop Terry from jumping in the lake with two pockets full of heavy stones. We know that Liberty’s interest in Terry was purely to lure him into the cult. Wonder what’s gonna happen with Dolores? At any rate, she seems like a sincere lady.

Andrew Hsu played Andrew, the safe deposit assistant, who helped Sandy get into the contents of Box 44 at the First Central Bank. Is that really how that works? Anyone can waltz in and open a safe deposit box as long as they have the key?

More Notes:

• It was nice to see Austin Nichols as Tommy Wheeler again. His last appearance was in “Norman Saves the World” (S4 E7).

• Since Season 1, Mickey has blamed Ray for the 20 years he did in Walpole. Here’s an exchange between Mickey and Ray from S1 E12 about that and more:

Mickey: I did 20 years for you. I took the rap for you and Ezra and Sean. I kept my mouth shut. I did the time.
Ray: You did 20 years because you stole half a million dollars from Sully.

We don’t know at this point whether that money was from the heist of ’77 that Aunt Sandy referred to in this episode, but we know that Mickey gave the money he stole from Sully to Daryll’s mother, Claudette. Mickey has taken the rap for other things, like the Minassian massacre and FBI agent Frank Barnes’ murder. Now he’s got 3 dead cops on top of that. How can he not end up back in jail or dead? Moreover, Claudette didn’t think that Daryll may end up in the middle of a police shootout when she made that call to Detective Perry.
