Here’s a recap of the clues on The Best Ever Trivia Show for Monday, July 8, 2019 with host Sherri Shepherd. This episode’s title is “Hoist the Flag”.

The format of this show pits 3 contestants against 3 trivia experts. There are 3 rounds and the player with the highest score wins $1,000 and moves on to the Ultimate Trivia Challenge for a chance to win $10,000. They give one player a choice of categories and a choice of experts to play against. It’s a multiple choice format.

In Round 1, Erin chose SCOTLAND instead of Olympics and she chose expert Arianna. 4 questions, 50 points for each correct answer and double if Arianna gets it wrong.

In Round 2, Sunny was the leader and got to pick the category. He chose OLYMPICS and not Mammals. 100 points for each correct answer. Ryan was this round’s trivia expert to beat for double points.

In Round 3, Joel chose ENGLISH and not Secret Societies. The twist in this 3-question round is the expert reveals how confident s/he is about the answer and the players have a chance to go with that for 200 points or to pick their own answer for 400 points, if right. Raj is this round’s expert.

Sunny wins $1,000 and gets a chance to win $10,000 by taking on a set of 5 more questions and getting more of them right than Raj. He would also return on the next show. Any player who makes it through 3 shows and wins $30,000, gets to join the Best Ever Trivia Show’s expert team.

Sunny didn’t just need Raj to be wrong on that last one. He also needed to be right, but it didn’t work out that way so Sunny just won the $1,000.
