Supporting Cast: Boooooooooooone! – Shameless

Here are some of the actors and actresses who appeared in “Boone” (the short version of the title in case you read it as “Bone.” This was the ninth episode of Shameless, Season 9 (1-27-19): The recap of the episode is here.

Rebecca Field plays Eliza, the waitress at Patsy’s Pies who has been doing her best to help Fiona get herself under control while, at the same time, trying to mollify the customers that Fiona has been attacking. Eliza took Fiona for some boxing lessons and that just didn’t go well.

Hey, I just wanted a drink

In particular, it did not work out for trainer, Rob (played by Mustafa Elzein). He got hurt sparring with Fiona, who warned him she was “South Side.” Rob suggested that she make it up to him for busting his nose by buying him a drink and she went ballistic about that. Ah, well, Eliza did try to help but at this point, it would probably be wise to just let Fiona suffer the consequences of her out-of-control behavior.

No hard feelings, all right?!

Anton Narinskiy played Boone, the soldier boy who promised Tami’s mother that he would take care of her and thought that meant he and Tami would get married. Boone and Lip immediately got in a competition over who would win the 5K race, egged on by Tami’s sister, Corey. Lip won the race although he wasn’t sure it was something to brag about because Boone was weighed down by a 60-pound duffel bag and combat boots (by his own choice). Tami still spent the night with Boone.

Maddie McCormick played Corey, Tami’s shameless sister who was putting the moves on Lip and, according to Tami, she would eat Boone alive if Tami didn’t stay with him. After learning that Tami slept with Boone, Lip got even by getting it on with Corey. He told Tami in a kind of “now we’re even” way and they decided to put both Boone and Corey behind them in favor of an exclusive relationship.

Excuse me?

Adilah Barnes played Rhonda, the social worker Frank Gallagher tried to con into putting him on welfare 9 months in advance of the anticipated birth of Ingrid’s 6 embryos so that he could invest the money in bitcoin and become a billionaire. Nothing in the episode was funnier than Rhonda’s reaction when Frank said “C’mon Rhonda, help a brother out.” The only place she helped him was out the door.
