Rachel finished in the lead with $6,000. Bob was second with $5,600 and Erika was last with $2,800.

Rachel found the first Daily Double in “Third Letter ‘X'” under the $2,000 clue on the 8th pick. She was in the lead with $9,600 now, $4,400 more than Erika and Bob, tied in second place. She bet $2,000 and left syllables out of her response so she was WRONG.

Bob found the last Daily Double in “Short Stories” under the $1,600 clue. Only one $2,000 clue was left after it. In third place with $7,200, he had $4,000 less than Erika’s lead. He bet $1,000 and he was RIGHT.

Erika finished in the lead with $11,200. Rachel was next with $10,400 and Bob was in third place with $8,200.

WHAT IS SHAKESPEARE’S GLOBE or THE GLOBE THEATRE?

The original Globe Theater, famed for its association with William Shakespeare, opened in 1599 but burned to the ground in 1613, when wadding from a stage cannon ignited the thatched roof. Rebuilt with a tiled roof, the second Globe was demolished in 1644, 2 years after the Puritans closed all of England’s theatres. Rebuilding The Globe was the brainchild of American actor and director Sam Wanamaker. He found it appalling no replica existed in London. Wanamaker founded the Shakespeare Globe Trust, raising funds and working tirelessly to create a faithful replica of the original. That was a very remarkable feat considering, as it says on Shakespeare’s Globe’s website, “nobody knows for sure” what the original Globe looked like.

Also, according to the Museum of London’s “3 myths you probably believe about the Great Fire of London,” thatched roofs were actually illegal in London centuries before the first Globe Theater existed and the Great Fire of 1666.

Bob wrote down the Tower Bridge. He lost his $5,800 bet, leaving him with $2,400.

Rachel got it right. She bet $4,000 to finish with $14,400.

Erika came up with the Village Inn. She lost $5,600, dropping down to $5,600.
