Lebanon is mentioned in 64 verses of the Bible. Its cedar trees are mentioned in 21 of them. Lebanon adopted its current flag in 1943. World Flags 101 says its cedar tree “has been used as a symbol by the Maronite Christians of Lebanon since the 18th and 19th centuries. The tree represents peace, immortality and tolerance.”

@VJ, I bet on days like today you don’t miss the east coast. I guess by now you heard we had an earthquake. This is the second in a 10-year timeframe. The last one was in 2011. The epicenter for this one was off the shore of Delaware & felt as far north as NY & to the west in DC. Since we’re south of Philly in the suburbs we felt mild tremors but nothing serious.
Didn’t stop us from watching Jeopardy. lol. I liked Lisa & glad she won. She’s sharp. Also did you notice how Trebek made the connection in Spoiler Talk? I doubt if anyone knew what those Bible passages state. Sometimes the clue writers throw in the kitchen sink & in today’s clue I felt it was designed to trick the contestants. But, not Lisa. She jumped right on it. I thought the returning champ would too.
Wow, Jacob, no one in our family in North Jersey called us or posted anything about it. A friend of mine who lives in Cumberland County posted that there were some tremors in her neck of the woods. It’s very scary. It’s scary down here too.
It’s highly possible Lisa knew the passage from the Psalm — a lot of them are set to music. I found out that Psalm 92 was set to music by Schubert. and she certainly knew those Mozart clues without hesitation, even that very hard last one.
I was confused by that DD that Lisa lost in the first round. I thought someone would favor the good leg (in “the rely on it more” sense), not the bad one.
Also, on the apapane & honeycreeper clue, several places I looked up say the apapane is a honeycreeper and they have an apostrophe before its name: ‘apapane

I also thought that the “preferential” clue was poorly worded, it’s not really “excellent” treatment, rather it’s showing favoritism toward someone.
VJ, would you be able to tell me what the first clue was in Johnny Gilbert, Tough Guy? The answer was Glengarry Glen Ross
It was the first clue in that category, Rhonda, and here it is — ($400) Let’s talk about something important. Put that coffee down! Coffee’s for closers only”
Lily got it.
Thanks, VJ!
A different Lilly vs. a different Lisa playing against each other today.
Wasn’t the same as Lilly Chin and Lisa Schlitt in January and February.
Ethiopia is infamous for cutting nearly all of it’s forest down for cooking fuel.
Jeopardy is preempted again due to the holiday light thing. But still what was Lily thinking coming up with steel? This isn’t the industry category. I’m guessing she misread the clue right VJ? Plus, isn’t Ethiopia popular for its wood industry?
