Queen Elizabeth’s Grands and Great Grands

Here is that captivating picture of Queen Elizabeth II with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren that you have probably already seen on the news or online, showing little Mia Tindall holding the Queen’s purse.

However, the UK Mirror put together this great video with an up-close look at the royal children (and kindly allowed sharing). It even has captions showing their relationship to Queen Elizabeth, their parents and where each one stands in the line of succession to the throne. Queen Elizabeth has truly been blessed with these beautiful descendants.

The line of succession goes by Queen Elizabeth’s four children, shown here with one asterisk. Grandchildren have ** and great-grandchildren have ***

*Charles, Prince of Wales (b. 1948)

**Prince William, Duke of Cambridge (b. 1982)
***Prince George of Cambridge (b. 2013)
***Princess Charlotte of Cambridge (b. 2015)
**Prince Henry of Wales (b. 1984)

*Prince Andrew, Duke of York (b. 1960)

**Princess Beatrice of York (b. 1988)
**Princess Eugenie of York (b. 1990)

*Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex (b. 1964)

**James, Viscount Severn (b. 2007)
**Lady Louise Windsor (b. 2003)

*Anne, Princess Royal (b. 1950), daughter of Queen Elizabeth II

**Peter Phillips (b. 1977)
***Savannah Phillips (b. 2010)
***Isla Phillips (b. 2012)
**Zara Phillips (b. 1981)
***Mia Tindall (b. 2014)

Of course, this is subject to change. Prince George and Princess Charlotte may yet get more siblings. Prince Harry will take a bride one day, but as of the Queen’s 90th birthday, she has eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
