John Oliver’s First Two Tickets Go to Ninja Turtles
The first set of tickets to the Yankees’ opening games that were bought for $1595 by Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver went to two Ninja Turtles.
When Yankee COO Lonn Trost said that the resale of premium tickets is frowned upon because the ticket could wind up in the hands of someone who has “never sat in a premium location,” John Oliver thought that was so pretentious that he bought six premium tickets and promised to resell them for a quarter to lucky winners who tweeted a picture of what they would wear to the game with the hashtag #IHaveNeverSatInAPremiumLocation.
Two guys dressed up as Ninja Turtles were the first two winners. Here they are at the April 4th Yankees/Astros game.

Yes, the Yankee’s lost and yes, John Oliver, we’re blaming you.
Two more games to go and the contest is still open until 9 AM on April 6. We’d definitely send this guy.

“Blaming” you (John Oliver)? I’m sure you meant “crediting”. Hahaha
