Russell Wilson and Seahawks Clobber Cardinals in Regular Season Finale
Despite losing to the St. Louis Rams a week ago, the Seattle Seahawks are firing on all cylinders heading into the playoffs. On January 3rd, Seattle closed out the regular season at Arizona against a Cardinals’ team that had won nine straight, often in dominating fashion. During the streak, Arizona beat the Seahawks in Seattle 39-32 on November 16th.
Well that was ancient history as QB Russell Wilson threw three touchdown passes to lead Seattle over the Cardinals 36-6. It was basically over at halftime. Seattle led 30-6 at the intermission, and Cardinals coach Bruce Arians pulled QB Carson Palmer to guard against injury in what was obviously a lost cause, not to mention a wake up call.
Until Marshawn Lynch got hurt in late October, the Seahawks had an offense that was primarily run oriented. Since then, Seattle has opened up the offense to more passing, and now that he’s being given more of a chance to pass, Wilson has been stellar. He has thrown 24 of his 34 touchdown passes in the team’s last seven games.
The Cardinals finished at 13-3, good for a first round bye. Seattle (10-6) is a Wild Card and will play at Minnesota on January 10th. The Seahawks beat the Vikings 38-7 on December 6th.

With the Redskins and the Chiefs the hottest teams now , I think the Seahawks are the team most feared. I wonder if they will throw slants into an 8-man box this year?
