A Katy, Texas native, Zellweger’s first Oscar nomination was for her starring role in “Bridget Jones’s Diary” (2001). She lost to Halle Berry (“Monster Ball”). The second Best Actress nomination was for her role as Roxie Hart in the musical “Chicago” (2002). That one went to Nicole Kidman (“The Hours”). Her Supporting Actress Oscar was for her portrayal of Ruby Thewes in “Cold Mountain” (2003), the only Oscar win for the film out of the 7 nominations. See all of Renée Zellweger’s awards on IMDB.
Kevin bet $7,999. He finished with $15,999.
Tom bet $13,000. That brought him up to $26,200.
Brennan didn’t feel the need to bet anything, having already won the game. His impressive 3-day total is $85,202.
During the chat, Brennan talked about a baseball his collector family has that was signed by the 1967 Impossible Dream Red Sox. Trebek wanted to know who his favorite was of the most famous players who signed and Brandon said, from what he’s seen, he’d say Yaz.

I was idly thinking during the break before FJ, what if they come back with a change score and it’s not a runaway. So then they come back with a change score and I picked my jaw back up off the floor when it turned out to be for Kevin.
What a game for Brennan! His $28K pre-FJ finish was higher than his post FJ-finish yesterday with an $8,201 bet.
Speaking of change in score, I was wondering why they didn’t accept Catnip, then realized the category was TMI (can’t recall the wording of the clue, though).
Another good game by all 3 players. Brennan made it a runaway on the last 2K clue – wow! I loved how he killed that puzzle category. I think he bears a slight resemblance to Tom Cruise.
I hope J! puts a video up of that Puzzlers category. They were funny. They would have to include the clue reversal of course.
That would be cool. 🙂
you mean Monday’s game, Mom. He finished lower than today on Mon and higher yesterday. He made the same bet both days.
I did, Sonny. The $27,201 finish. Thanks :):)
Thanks to Alex for that unlikeable face before Final Jeopardy!.
Whoa! What a week so far on fj. 8/9=88.9% accuracy percentage. Haven’t seen that in a long time.
Congrats Brennan. What a way to go!
