Three Players Ejected After Fight In Alabama-Auburn Women’s Basketball Game
When the Alabama—Auburn rivalry is mentioned, most people think of college football and the annual game between the two known as the Iron Bowl. Things can get pretty intense there, but that’s not the only game between the two schools that gets intense. The schools’ women’s basketball teams played in Tuscaloosa on January 22nd, and it got pretty ugly late in the first half.
After a free throw, Alabama’s Breanna Hayden punched Auburn’s Hasina Muhammad in the face. Muhammad then chased Hayden down and punched her. The scuffling reached the Alabama bench before it was finally quelled.
Both Hayden and Muhammad were thrown out of the game, as was Alabama’s Meoshanti Knight for leaving the bench. Alabama eventually won the game 51-50. We will now await disciplinary actions from SEC.
