Tim Tebow Voted Most Overrated Player in the NFL
In a poll of 180 players conducted by Sports Illustrated, New York Jets backup quarterback Tim Tebow was voted the Most Overrated Player in the NFL. Tebow received 34% of the votes, well in front of the competition.
Tied for second place were two other quarterbacks: Tony Romo of the Dallas Cowboys, and Tebow’s team mate, Jets starter Mark Sanchez, each of whom had 8% of the vote.
It seems strange that a player who hasn’t seen much action and has had few chances to show what he can do would be considered the most overrated, but there you have it. Perhaps Most Overhyped would be a better title, but then the New York media machine would guarantee that the award would be won by some player from the Big Apple every year.
