Trigger happy Benny Siegel finally got his chance to prove his mettle and his youthful appearance came in handy in enabling him to impersonate the paperboy. But he missed his mark. He was sent to take out Gyp Rosetti who was in flagrante delicto. The delicto was so flagrante that all Rosetti had on was a belt and it was around his neck. He yelled to his his red-headed partner to untie him and managed to get his gun. As Benny burst through the door, Gyp had the presence of mind to pull the red-head in front of him. She was toast, as was the thug who was guarding the door already. Benny ran out of the room encountering two more Rosetti goons. He shot them both, the real paperboy showed up, and Benny shot him, too. Cackling like a mad hen, Benny jumped into the getaway car while Gyp stumbled out into the hall. One of the two men Benny shot on the way out was still alive and groaning in pain. Owen Slater later gave Nucky Thompson the body count: 4.
