Bruce Springsteen Live at the Apollo …

and on the radio when Springsteen and the E Street Band rocked the Apollo in their first full concert since the legendary saxophonist Clarence Clemons passed away suddenly last year.

The kick off of their Wrecking Ball tour was attended by luminaries such as Elvis Costello, Paul Rudd, Tom Hanks, Harry Belafonte and many other stars, and Sirius XM broadcast the concert.

Springsteen paid tribute to the Big Man several times throughout the show, and he also paid tribute many stars who have graced the Apollo stage, calling the famous venue “the home of the Gods and the true temple of soul,” including Sam Cooke, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Solomon Burke, then he performed a medley of Smokey Robinson songs and Wilson Pickett’s 634-5789.

The Boss is now headed to Austin where he will deliver the keynote address at the South By Southwest Festival, and after that he will go on the road with his international tour that will have him criss-crossing the USA from coast to coast until the first week of May. Then it’s off to Europe where his venues will begin in Spain and he will appear everywhere from Paris to Prague until the tour wraps up in mid-July at London’s Hyde Park.
