There were two clues that everyone got right this week, and no triple stumpers. Some people felt that this was because the final clues were a lot easier than they have been and I have to agree. I’m not complaining though. I’d rather see a week like this than a bunch of triple stumpers! Ordinarily, going by the numbers, we’d call the Wife No. 19 book the hardest, but it seemed to be a choice between 2 men. Oddly enough, one player got the right guy but no one picked his predecessor.
This week’s winners:
Mon 7/13/26 Caleb Groen $19,500
Tue 7/14/26 Caleb Groen $20,000
Wed 7/15/26 Caleb Groen $60,067
Thu 7/16/26 Caleb Groen $21,600
Fri 7/17/26 Caleb Groen $24,801
Caleb Groen ran away with the first 4 games this week. He didn’t have a runaway on Friday due to getting 2 Daily Doubles wrong, but he won anyway. Starting out with a 7-day total of $201,000, Caleb finished the week with a 12-day total of $346,968. As we had suggested might happen, he also beat his own $60,000 record for highest 1-day winnings in Season 42 by $67 on Wednesday. Caleb’s a beast!
Jeopardy! paid out $145,968 to Caleb Groen this week, bringing his winnings up to $346,968 for 12 days. That is now the highest 12-day score of the season. As usual, $25K in consolation prizes was paid out.
