Knicks Sweep 76ers to Advance to NBA Eastern Finals

The New York Knicks led the Philadelphia 76ers by 19 points after the first quarter of Game 4 of their NBA Eastern Conference semi final series and didn’t look back on the way to a 144-114 rout of the 76ers in Philadelphia. New York completed a four game sweep to advance to the Eastern Finals for the second year in a row.

Miles McBride scored 25 points, Karl-Anthony Towns scored 17 and had 10 assists, and Jalen Brunson scored 22 for New York. Joel Embiid led the 76ers with 24 points. The Knicks dominated the series; their Game 1 win was an even bigger blowout with a final of 137-98. Last season, the Knicks lost to the Indiana Pacers in six games in the East Finals. The Knicks will play the winner of the Detroit Pistons—Cleveland Cavaliers series. Detroit leads that one two games to one.
