Bucks Rally to Beat Knicks and End Five Game Losing Streak Against New York

After another disappointing early playoff exit last season, there was a lot of speculation that Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo might be traded to another NBA contender, with the New York Knicks being one of the front runners. There were some reported contacts between the Knicks and Bucks regarding this, but nothing came of it. Giannis has always maintained that as long as he’s convinced that the Bucks are serious about pursuing championships, he’ll stay.

The Bucks made some personnel changes in the off season, and apparently he’s satisfied that the team is serious about following up on that 2021 NBA title. Giannis is still in Milwaukee, and appears to be supercharged. On October 28th, he scored 37 points as the Bucks rallied from a 71-59 deficit at halftime to beat the Knicks 121-111 in Milwaukee. The victory snapped a five game losing streak versus New York, including three losses last year by an average of 22 points.

Through the Bucks (3-1) first four games, Giannis is averaging 36.3 points, 14 rebounds, 1.3 blocked shots, and seven assists per game. Milwaukee will host the 4-1 Golden State Warriors on October 30th.
