Here are the Final Jeopardy clues and correct responses for the week of July 14 through July 18, 2025.

Click on the dates to see the recap for each game.

Mon, July 14 – Correct answers: 0 (out of 2 left in FJ!)
AWARDS: In the 50-year history of “Saturday Night Live”, he’s the only cast member to have won an Oscar–& it wasn’t for a comedy show

Tue, July 15 – Correct answers: 3
THEATER: The title of a Pulitzer-winning play from 2007 mentions this month, as does another winner 54 years prior show

Wed, July 16 – Correct answers: 2
U.S.A.: Its creator imagined it as a place for young & old, offering “nostalgia of the past with exciting glimpses into the future” show

Thu, July 17 – Correct answers: 0 (out of 2 left in FJ!)
AMERICAN NOVELS: A critic described this novel as “A man from down South sitting in a manhole up north… & signifying about how he got there” show

Fri, July 18 – Correct answers: 3
SCIENCE WORDS: Expanding on a word created by a Czech playwright, Asimov coined this term in 1941 for a branch of science that didn’t exist yet show

Two stumpers and two triple solves didn’t exactly balance out last week. There were only 2 players left in the clues no one got. I thought Friday’s clue was easier than the one about the plays that everyone got. Ken seemed surprised that everyone got Wednesday’s clue but he fully expected good results for Friday’s clue with an engineer and physicist on the panel.

This week’s winners:
Mon 7/14/25 $18,400 Scott Riccardi
Tue 7/15/25 $32,200 Scott Riccardi
Wed 7/16/25 $28,600 Scott Riccardi
Thu 7/17/25 $20,000 Scott Riccardi
Fri 7/18/25 $30,400 Scott Riccardi

Scott Riccardi was a 7x champ with $182,901 to his credit when he returned to the Alex Trebek Stage on Monday. He added some pretty impressive statistics to Season 41 in the process of winning 5 more games. Four of those games were runaways! Scott lost a bundle in 2 of the runaways when he didn’t get Final Jeopardy!: $15,800 on Monday and $20,000 on Thursday. Otherwise, he would have hit the $300K mark earlier. Nevertheless, Scott is a 12x champ, having swept 2 whole weeks + 2. He’s won $312,501 and could still win more. Whichever way the wind blows next week, Scott Riccardi is the star of an otherwise lackluster Season 41.

Scott took Jeopardy! for $129,600 this week. $25K in consolation prizes was also paid out to Scott’s challengers.

Here is the Public Television category from Wednesday’s game.
