Rowan found the first Daily Double in “Law Slaw” under the $1,600 clue on the 5th pick of the round. Rowan was in the lead with $10,600, $7,800 more than Do in second place. Rowan made it a true Daily Double and was RIGHT.

Rowan got the last Daily Double in “Historic Seconds” under the $1,600 clue on the 19th pick of the round. In first place with $22,000, $15,600 more than Do and Nikkee who were tied in second place. Rowan bet $2,000 and was RIGHT again.

WHAT IS THE TREVI FOUNTAIN?
There’s a great article about the Trevi Fountain (Fontana di Trevi) on ItalianNotes.com, with 10 facts about the famous fountain. Of course, we want to know the meaning of the name and the first entry says it means “three-ways”, referring to the junction of three roads on Piazza dei Cruciferi. There’s also a connection to the three-headed Goddess named Trivia, who stood on corners where three streets met. Films featuring Trevi Fountain are covered, most notably 1954’s “Three Coins in the Fountain” with its Oscar-winning theme song.
The Borgen Project covers how Trevi Fountain became involved in the fight against poverty, in no small part due to a homeless man named Roberto Cercelletta. To support himself and others, Roberto had been raiding the fountain on a nightly basis for 34 years when he was finally arrested in 2002. The Italian government was thus inspired to donate the fountain funds (over a million a year) to Caritas Roma, a charity that helps the poor in Rome.
Do thought it was St. Peter’s Basilica. He lost his $401 bet and finished with $6,399.
Nikkee went with the Red Cross. That cost her $5,401 and left her with $1,799.
Rowan got it right. Rowan bet $10,000 and won the game with $36,800. For the next two days, Rowan Ward will be competing with Sadie Goldberger and Jack Weller for $35,000 and the last spot in the 2022 Tournament of Champions.

I got a feeling that Sadie is going to do it, but, I’ll probably be wrong. I found the over-exuberant performance of Rowan to be off-putting. Just respond to the clue, no commentary needed.
I did not know that “Trivia” was another name for Diana/Artemis and, as Professor Wikipedia told me, also Hecate. Now THAT is, well, trivial!
I don’t know when I started commenting on this site, but, looking at the write up from 2021, I see that someone calling themselves “Lifelong Jeopardy Fan” found Rowan to be annoying, also!

I haven’t watched the 2nd chance tournament, but Rowan was super-impressive tonight.
Knew a ton of answers I didn’t. I did know the 2022 movie and that offbeat Kevin Kline film.
Thought the final was St Peter’s. I did visit the Trevi Fountain in 1971. We were hanging out with some NY girls we’d just met, and one of them got pinched by a stranger.
Alas, poor Nikkee, methinks you should have known that quote from “Hamlet.”

The Trevi Fountain? I’ve never heard of it, nor did I watch the 1954 film ‘Three Coins In the Fountain’. Given the clue, the only thing I could come up was St. Peter’s Square.
VJ: The 1954 film was actually called ‘Three Coins in the Fountain’ (they used a definite article).
Thanks, Rick. That’s actually pretty funny to me — I typed it the way my mother used to sing the song. (At least I typed it right in that article 😂)
For the next two days, it’s gonna be exciting 2 day final. Both Rowan and Jack have performed so brilliantly in the semi-finals and they had a runaway games so these two are tough players and Sadie has to watch out for these two fast buzzers.
