2016 CMA Awards
Country superstar, Dolly Parton, was honored at the Country Music Associations 50th anniversary awards show, broadcast live from Nasville on November 2nd, 2016 on ABC. When accepting her Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award, Dolly quipped that it was “an absolute high.” Here are some highlights of the show, including that moment:
The surprise appearance of another superstar seems to have created quite a stir. Beyonce sang “Daddy Lessons,” a song from her “Lemonade” album, with the Dixie Chicks. In a way, it’s kinda funny. People say that we should be united and all get along, but some folks are going to complain when an artist from another genre shows up to help sing her own song at the CMAs? Go figure.
