Jeopardy’s 2014 Top 5 Moments – What Will No. 1 Be?

Jeopardy has been posting its Top 5 Iconic Moments on 2014 and here are the ones they’ve shown on Facebook so far:

No. 5: In October, Ben Ingram surprised viewers by beating Julia Collins and Arthur Chu to win the Tournament of Champions. ‪(Hmmm.. in this video recap, Arthur admits that the experts were favoring Ben)

No. 4: Earlier this year, Arthur Chu shook up the game of Jeopardy! and went on an 11 game win streak.

No. 3: In May, Brad Rutter took the Battle of the Decades crown over Ken Jennings and Roger Craig.

All of the above must pale in comparison to No. 2: September saw the return of Alex Trebek’s iconic mustache. (Short-lived as it was)

Stay tuned to Jeopardy!’s Facebook page for the Big No. 1 reveal. Since Julia Collins won far more games than Arthur Chu, it’s got to be about her achievement and that’s something — more important than Alex Trebek’s mustache!

What was your favorite 2014 moment on Jeopardy!?

That was a great highlight, Cece.

I really enjoyed the TOC and BOTD this past year. They did make Julia Collins #1.

I would have made the TOC #2 and BOTD #1, but I guess it’s hard to compete with the mustache, so congrats to Julia.

I enjoyed the BOTD but was disappointed that Jennings didn’t win.

As for the mustache…I just don’t get all the fascination about it 🙂

me either… but if he could groom it in such a way that he could turn to the audience and give it an evil twirl every time he one ups a contestant, I would. LOL

My favorite 2014 moment was during Kids Week when Cerulean Roger Craig’d his $11,000 on a DD and gave the right answer. Priceless! Albeit way risky.

Those post-game chats from the TOC were really cool, too. At the time, it seemed like a sign of even better surprises to come, then those $*&&^!!** hackers came along 🙁

Yeah, talk about “killjoys”! Btw, has Sony determined that it was indeed an inside job? I haven’t been following the story.

      • VJ says:

I haven’t been following that either but the good news is the COTD is back and the howdies, too!
