Iowa State Rallies From 21 Point Deficit to Beat Oklahoma

The 15th ranked Oklahoma Sooner basketball team rolled into Ames, Iowa on March 2nd and blew out the 17th ranked Cyclones in the early going, taking a 37-19 lead into the locker room at halftime. At one point, Oklahoma had a 21 point lead, but to its credit, Iowa State didn’t quit. The Cyclones reeled off 22 unanswered points in the second half and rallied for a 77-70 victory.

The victory moved the Cyclones (11-6 in the Big 12, 21-8 overall into a tie for second with Oklahoma (11-6), 20-9) in the conference standings. Ninth ranked Kansas (12-4, 23-6 leads the conference, and the Jayhawks can wrap up the Big 12 title if they beat #20 West Virginia (10-6, 22-7) at home on March 3rd. The Jayhawks close out the regular season at Oklahoma on March 7th. Iowa State finishes at TCU (4-12, 17-12) on March 7th.
