Yankees’ Domingo German Pitches Perfect Game
New York Yankees righthander Domingo German used 99 pitches to retire 27 consecutive Oakland Athletics for the first perfect game in the majors since 2012, and the 24th in Major League history in New York’s 11-0 win on June 28th in Oakland. German struck out nine Athletics.

It was the third of three perfect games thrown in that year, the most of any year in Major League history. This was the fourth in New York Yankees history, the most famous of which was Don Larsen’s perfect game in the 1956 World Series.
