Tennessee Wins 17th Straight in College Basketball

Tennessee continued its red hot play on February 5th, beating Missouri in Knoxville 72-60. It was the Volunteers’ 17th straight win, a school record, and improved their season record to 21-1 overall, 9-0 in the SEC. Tennessee is #1 in the polls, and its only loss this season was to the #2 Kansas back on November 23rd.

Admiral Schofield and Grant Williams led Tennessee scoring with 13 points each. A Williams jumper with 11:19 left in the first half put the Volunteers ahead 18-17, and Tennessee never trailed after that.

The Volunteers will host Florida next on February 9th. Looking ahead, Tennessee still has two games against #5 Kentucky, in Lexington on February 16th, and at home on March 2nd. The Volunteers will also be at #21 LSU on the 23rd of February.
