Teletubby Nabbed for Chinese Food Theft

A student accused of an early morning break-in at a friend’s home in Pennsylvania, while dressed as the yellow Teletubby Laa-Laa, is facing disorderly conduct and criminal mischief charges.

According to Bethlehem Police Chief Mark DiLuzio, the Lehigh University student damaged a door during the incident, entered the home and raided the refrigerator, dumping leftover Chinese food into a “man purse” and leaving.

The residents initially declined to press charges but had a change of heart after their landlord found out about it.

“Not that many Teletubbies get arrested,” DiLuzio said, “You can’t make it up.”
