Supporting Cast: Uncle Carl – Shameless

Here are some members of the supporting cast who appeared in “Uncle Carl”, the 8th episode of Season 5 of Shameless (3/8/2015).

Bojana Novakovic played an E.R. doctor who didn’t quite believe Sammi’s story that Frank was grazed by a bullet while cleaning out his gun. Here you see her in this preview clip from Episode 9, having a few with Frank at the Alibi after learning that she has cancer:

Bojana was Mikki in the FOX series “Rake” with Greg Kinnear. They had an episode about cancer too, but her character didn’t have it.

Stephen Rider played G-Dogg, the drug dealer who promoted Carl and chided him on saying ‘sup’ as a greeting. The cops have G-Dogg’s heroin now and are going to pressure Carl to snitch.

Fast date: Demetrius Grosse played Eddie Murphy – (no, not Eddie Murphy the comedian, the running gag). He was a high school friend of Veronica’s (Shanola Hampton) that she made a date with. It lasted about two minutes.

In fact, an uncredited guest star had more screen time than either Eddie Murphy or G-Dogg. This little fellow was running around with its tail in a mousetrap.

It eventually made its way behind the bar at the Alibi where Frank gave it a shot of whiskey on the house. Everybody was drinking on the house at the Alibi after Kev went off to Lip’s college to make a fast score selling weed and left Kermit (Jim Hoffmaster) in charge. When the cat’s away…

Other Shameless moments:

• The Lisas are still turning the neighborhood on its ear. They bought the lot next to the Gallagher hacienda and are selling shares in a community garden for $2,000. Big Lisa (Jenica Bergere) wanted Ian to take down the swimming pool. He told her that he was just coming down from some heavy lithium and would do it in a couple of hours but he got in it instead.
• Amanda (Nichole Bloom) went through with her bi-curious intentions with her roommate Muff (Shelby Steel). Now Muff thinks they are married.
• Chuckie is 13 years old, not 10. He is “small for his age,” according to his mom.
