Stephen Colbert Pisses Houstonians Off, Sort Of

Stephen Colbert ticked off Houstonians on Tuesday during his “Hungry for Power” segment with his remarks about former Texas Governor, Rick Perry, leaving the presidential campaign (about 2:56 in the video).

“Citizens, last week the games lost a brave fighter in Rick Perry. I’d like to say he’s gone to a better place, but I believe he lives in Houston… or thereabouts.”

Local news station KHOU is promoting a Twitter campaign to let Colbert know that #Houstonisgreat. They’re not stopping there either. They are sending The Late Show host a care package full of Houston things. That’s why we say they’re sort of pissed off.
