Secret Life: Is Jack Dead?
That’s the question on the lips of many Secret Life fans tonight as the season wrapped up with Jack Pappas gravely injured in the hospital. His parents come out and his minister father says “Let us pray.” There’s crying and hugging. Jack’s mother collapses against Jack’s father and, as they say on Looney Tunes, that’s all folks!
The teasers for “Half Over” promised that one person would leave forever. Many fans are probably hoping that really meant Dylan who packed up her locker, kissed Ben goodbye and sailed off to join her buds at a private girl’s school. But, seriously, that would be more than one, because Dylan was like a gang member with her little clique.
We saw some speculation that Jack can’t be dead because his father said “let us pray,” and only Catholics pray for the dead.
Greg Finley was surprised to see Secret Life trending.
Greg Finley: Wow secret life was trending, thats pretty cool, thanks for the support, we really do have the best fans.
Shoot, Greg, no one wanted to see your character get knocked off with a baseball bat. We could think of at least a dozen other possible scenarios for you. None of them include marrying that diz ball Grace, though.
But whether Jack is dead or alive — did you check out Tom calling up Betty to find out where the pimp is? Once again, Secret Life stretches the imagination beyond its limits to think that somehow Betty would not only know, but be scared to death of, this particular pimp. But if that’s not bad enough…
There was some speculation that Leo and Camille would somehow become the parents of Kathy’s baby. Instead, they are becoming foster parents to the teenager who was being trafficked by the pimp who put the near-fatal or fatal hurt, as the case may turn out, on Jack. Yes, as we noticed before, the actress who is playing this supposed 15-year-old is really 25 and doesn’t look a day under 20, at the least, to us. She was hooking under the street name Ginger but her real name is Chloe (they probably spell it with a K though, remember Karlee? Amy said it was a skank name). Whatever, it’s really funny that they think they can deal with this girl’s problems when they can’t even deal with Ben. If Leo thought Dylan was a bad influence, this girl can show Ben things Dylan may never even think of!
Ben found out that Amy and Ricky are not married. Way to snoop online Ben. He is not the first to know anyhow. George knows, too. Ricky gives Ben a not so subtle warning to back off but Ben’s obsession with Amy shows no signs of dying.
Omar is sensitive to Adrian’s memories of losing Mercy even if Ben is not. Adrian tearfully says she wants to have lots of kids. Omar draws an engagement ring on her finger with a marker. He’s a keeper, Adrian.
Anne hooks up with Nora’s sponsor. Well, they spent the night together, but just talking so far. Nora is absolutely freaked out by the idea.
The nature of Tammy and Tom’s relationship (they are doing it) seems to come as a total shock to Kathleen and George. Probably because every time they are planning to do it, something happens and they can’t.
As for Amy and Ricky, he was really giving old Ames the business about Hudson University and Ben, overplaying that jealousy card to the max, but she gave it right back to him in spades. She called him out on his Clementine lies and told him he ought to be talking to Dr. Fields, instead of someone who shouldn’t know any of their business, unless he wants Clementine to know their business.
It was also revealed that after Kathy has the baby, she plans to return to Texas. She tells Ethan to find himself a normal girlfriend. Why would she wish that on a normal girl? His obsession with her baby is worse than Ben’s with Amy.

I hope jack is not dead when his father said let us pray I cried.
What sort of ludicrous statement is that, that only Catholics pray for the dead?
