Secret Life: Girlfriends Recap
In “Girlfriends” (7/31/2012), Kathy makes two new friends that Ethan hates. Well, you know that song — hate is a strong word, but he really really really don’t like them. Amy doesn’t think much of them, but who is she to judge?
Camille did deck Ben after he smart-mouthed Leo. It was a bit of a let down, really. After Leo foiled Ben’s master plan to date Dylan by having Henry pick her up. Ben says if Leo can tell him who he can be with, he can tell Leo who he can be with. Leo asks him if he’s gone crazy, a normal reaction. Ben says he’s serious, and proceeds to say that the last time when Leo married a hooker, he didn’t say anything. Now, he’s speaking up. Leo and Camille are all wrong for each other. He’s too big and fat and Camille’s too little. She’s too little to even get pregnant. If she could, she would have trapped Leo by now. Little Camille packs a big punch and knocks Big Ben down. Ben may be skinny but he is tall. Ben (Ken Baumann) and Leo (Steve Schirripa) are actually the same height — 6′ 1″. Leo thinks this is so great, he wants to get married right away — not a normal reaction.
What Ben doesn’t know is that Alice has already copped to sleeping with Ben. Henry decides to get revenge by romancing Dylan. He goes over to her house and while she tries to shoo him out to the movie so they can meet up with Ben, Henry bonds with her parents, Robert and Cecilia (aka The Pudding Pops).
Amy and Ricky are inviting pals over. Amy invites Grace who brings Jack. Ricky invites Clementine who has slept with Jack and when he shows up with Grace, she splits. Adrian heard about the event through Clementine and shows up uninvited, but Amy says she always welcome. While Jack and Ricky chow down in the kitchen, the girls sit around talking about what sluts Jack and Clementine are. Amy doesn’t want to judge her because Jack and Grace were not back together when he hooked up with Clementine. Adrian informs Amy that she believes Clementine is after Ricky. The seed of doubt has been planted once again.
Kathy invites her new friends, Francine (Abbie Cobb) and Jody (Chelsea Ricketts) for a sleep over and she is very excited about that. When Ethan calls, they get in an argument because she is putting these two before him and he doesn’t like them. He says it’s not going to work out between them and hangs up. She calls him back and says it’s not going to work out and hangs up. Francine and Jody don’t show up so her grandmother calls Ethan to come over. They are about to kiss when the mean girls get there. We really thought Kathy was going to tell them to get lost, but they all pretty much sent Ethan on his way.
That was most of the drama. One thing that happened that was good was the Ben and Omar dispute over Ben’s big mouth was dismissed and was not made into a federal case.
