Rangers Take Game 1 of World Series in 11 Innings

Corey Seager hit a game tying two run homer in the ninth inning and Adolis Garcia hit a solo homer in the 11th inning as the Texas Rangers won Game 1 of the 2023 World Series 6-5 over the Arizona Diamondbacks in Arlington, Texas.

Garcia continued his incredible post season, homering in his fifth consecutive game. He was three for four in the game, and drove in two runs; he has now driven in 22 runs in this post season, which is a record. He’s hitting .357 with a slugging percentage of .804. Seager has had a pretty good post season at the plate, too. He’s hitting .327 (the same as the regular season, when he finished second in the A.L. in batting) with four homers and eight RBIs. He scored three runs in the game, and is the post season leader in runs scored with 15.

Game 2 is on October 28th.
