10th Ranked Miami Beats #12 Minnesota in Big Ten/ACC Challenge

Every year at this time in the college basketball season, the Big Ten and the ACC teams each play a non conference game against each other in the Big Ten/ ACC Challenge. This year, it’s been almost all ACC. Michigan State will host Notre Dame on November 30th to close it out, but so far, the ACC leads 11-2 with only Northwestern and Nebraska wining for the Big Ten.

One of the better games featured #10 Miami at #12 Minnesota. Miami entered the game with a record of 5-0, while Minnesota was 7-0. This one was tied 36-36 at halftime, with Miami prevailing in the end 86-81. The Hurricanes had not faced much competition up to this point, but showed they could indeed beat a quality opponent. They’ll be a factor in the always crowded ACC race.
