Matt found the Jeopardy! round Daily Double in “Page to Screen with a Different Title” under the 800 clue on the 9th pick of the round. Matt was in the lead with 3,400, 1,800 more than Mattea in second place. Matt bet it all and he was RIGHT.

Matt finished in the lead with 10,400. Mattea was second with 4,000 and Sam was last with 2,200. All clues were shown.

WHAT IS LAKE MALAWI?
In 2013, the Malawi Project posted a tribute to David Livingstone on the 200th anniversary of his birth, relating why he continues to be honored in Malawi “for his determination in stopping the slave trade in Sub-Saharan Africa.” Under a tree on the banks of Lake Malawi, Livingstone played a significant part in negotiating a treaty with African tribal chiefs to end the slave trade in East Africa.
Sam got it right. He doubled his score to 14,000.
Mattea thought it was Lake Chad. She lost 3,601 points and finished with 6,799.
Matt wrote down “Unlike James, I’m too classy to write a joke response.” That cost him nothing as he stood pat on his 31,000 points.

Greek for “forgetting” gives us the name of Hades’ river of forgetfulness & this adjective meaning “sluggish” show
James got the last Daily Double in “Rock’er’s” under the 1,600 clue on the 20th pick of the round. In the lead with 25,600, he had 17,200 more than Andrew in second place. James bet it all again and he was RIGHT again.

James finished in the lead with 54,000. Andrew was second place with 9,600 and Amy was last with 3,000. All clues were shown.
NONE of the Masters got Final Jeopardy! right.
WHO IS PIERRE BOULLE
Pierre Boulle was a French author who was best known for his novels “The Bridge over the River Kwai” (1952) and “Planet of the Apes” (1963). Both books were adapted to the big screen in films that were very popular. The one the gorillas at the zoo inspired is of course “Planet of the Apes”, which became a media franchise. Learn more.
Amy wrote “Why not 2 points for finishing second?” She stood pat on her 3000 points.
Andrew wrote “Stop! He’s already dead.” He stood pat on 9000.
Ironically, James decided to really play this one out but he chose Albert Camus. That cost him 32,608 but he still won the match with 21,392.

It was the end of the road for Amy, as she could not surpass Mattea’s 8 points. Amy won the 5th place prize of $75,000.
