Ugh. Contestants got worse as the show went on. What really amazed me is how I could get so annoyed with Brian. First, it’s mentioned that he’s part of the “Triple 9 Society”. Then, later, explaining that it’s 20x harder to get in there than Mensa, you expect this guy to be straight fire. And, then, there is what I believe to be the WORST third round of the season, bar none. And he’s a straight dud.

I guess it’s what is more impressive: it’s one thing to have a high IQ, but, it’s what you have done with it. That’s why they announce Jonathan and Muffy and Ryan and the Beast’s winnings on game shows and earned degrees.

So, I wonder what changes will be for the next season. I don’t even know if they announced one.

Amanda was the standout in this episode! She had personality, knowledge and an amazing camera presence! She and Muffy could be sisters…. Both are beautiful smart hilarious and awesome ladies!!!

    • Jacob Ska says:

Jason I agree with you about Brian. He was not a good advertisement for Triple 9 Society. Imo people who are truly intelligent need not join organizations to prove their intellect. I’m like the people from Missouri. Show me and he did not.

      • Jason says:

Agree completely. “If you have to tell people you’re smart, you’re not.” Alternately, “talk is cheap.”

I hope this show gets renewed another season

  3. VJ says:

In Round 3, I thought it was rather funny that neither challenger got the “What’s the Question” game show.

On the other hand, I was really surprised that neither the Beast (usually knows European stuff) nor Muffy (the historian) knew the Dutch queen

VJ, I didn’t find it unusual, that neither contestant knew the correct response. Not all adults watch Jeopardy or know about Merv Griffin. Furthermore, with four incorrect responses in a row we predicted in my household that the handwriting was already on the wall before the Ultimate Trivia Challenge began.
