LeBron Scores 42 Points, But Celtics Win to Take 2-0 Lead in NBA East Finals

LeBron James had a triple double, with 42 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Boston Celtics as the Cavaliers dropped Game 2 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals 107-94 in Boston on May 15th. The Celtics took a 2-0 lead in the series, which is more bad news for the Cavaliers; the Celtics have never lost a playoff series when they led 2-0.

Kevin Love had 22 points and 15 rebounds for the Cavaliers, who had a seven point lead at halftime but dropped off in the second half, scoring only 17 points in the fourth quarter. Six players scored in double figures for the Celtics, led by Jaylen Brown with 23.

Cleveland will try to get back on track as the series shifts to Cleveland for Game 3 on May 19th.
