Here is the end of Friday’s game where Alex explains how the Wild Cards were determined.
After the high scorers (Ziad Ali and Sarah Dubnik) got the first two spots, they had 3 players tied at $14,400: Hannah Norem, Kate Laubscher and Michael Sieja. As we anticipated, they first compared their pre-FJ scores: Hannah had $7,400 and Kate and Michael both had $7,200. So Hannah got the third spot. Kate had a higher score ($3,200) than Michael ($2,600) at the end of her first round, so she got the last spot.
The contestants who went home this week got $5,000. The players advancing to next week are playing for a grand prize of $100,000. Second place will get minimums of $50,000 and third, $25,000. Players who don’t advance to the 2-day final get $10,000.
