This week started off with 2 correct responses and that was as good as it got. It was followed by 2 triple stumper days and that was followed by 2 days with 1 correct response. It’s tough to judge the difficulty level of these clues. Friday’s clue seems the easiest to me for being connected with history but Monday’s clue got the best results. I wonder if that was more because of its use as an insult than its original meaning. That was the hardest one for me. You can take your pick of the hardest one for you.

8x champ Isaac Hirsch returned on Monday and looked like he was headed for super champ territory when he won that game. It was not to be, however, when he lost his 10th game to Jay Fisher. By Friday, Jay was a 3x champ but he lost his 4th game to Neilesh Vinjamuri.

It was a low cost week for Jeopardy! Isaac added $20,001 to his prior winnings of $195,389. Jay made $28,200 in his 3-day run and Neilesh won $12,000 on Friday. So that was a total of $60,201 in winnings. Isaac and Jay got $3,000 each out of the $25,000 in consolation prize money

Here is the DIS-TRACK-TIONS category from Tuesday’s game.

Reminder: Alex Trebek is being honored with a Forever stamp by the U.S. Postal Service. The stamps will be released on Monday July 22, the anniversary of Trebek’s birthday.
