There was, at long last, one clue that everyone got this week. Friday’s clue should have been a triple solve as well, but one person didn’t make it to the final round. Both of those clues were pop culture-related. The history clues didn’t fare so well: none on Tuesday and only one on Thursday. Monday’s UNESCO site clue was the only one that had 2 right responses the regular way, meaning everyone was present.
This week’s winners:
Mon 5/26/25 $32,001 Judith Friedman
Tue 5/27/25 $799 Tyler Griffith
Wed 5/28/25 $16,401 Thomas Sweeney
Thu 5/29/25 $24,000 Geoff Barnes
Fri 5/30/25 $14,001 Geoff Barnes
Jim Carpenter returned on Monday only to lose to Judith Friedman, and that was the beginning of the win/lose parade until Friday. Judith, Tyler Griffith and Thomas Sweeney all showed promise but circumstances worked against 2 wins for them. Geoff Barnes scored a handy runaway on Thursday. He was able to prevail on Friday when his worthy challengers had some bad luck. Jeopardy!’s tab this week was $87,202.
Jeopardy! paid out the usual $15K in consolation prizes. Returning champ Jim was the only one who got $3,000. Judith, Tyler and Thomas got $2K each.
Here is the “Ghosting” category from Thursday’s game.

Any chance of locating a recording of the question and answer this week to . . . What Olympic city was portrayed in the movie September 5?
Thank you.

Hi VJ, I would like to suggest a couple of corrections:
First of all, Thursday’s Final was not a Triple Stumper; only one of the 3 contestants had the correct response.
Also, in your weekly FJ summaries, I think you should change “questions and answers” to “clues and correct responses” because it’s more consistent that way.
Thanks, Bryan, I made those corrections. Going forward, we’ll go with “clues and correct responses” on these posts.
