This week began with a triple stumper. Then it was one right, 3 right for the rest of the week. The two clues that everyone got couldn’t have been easier. I think the Presidential Facts clue was the hardest, as you just had to know it. Monday’s clue didn’t seem quite as hard when, at least, you could deduce “this for that” from the context.
Matthew Ott turned out to be the last of a string of one-day champs when he was defeated on Monday by Sean McShane. Sean won two more games and things were looking good for a fourth win on Thursday, at least at the end of the first round. Ray Lalonde dominated the Double Jeopardy! round and finished with a big lead. Oddly enough, Ray’s weak bet left the door open for Sean to win in Final Jeopardy but Sean didn’t walk through that door. He made the same mistake so Ray won anyway. On Friday, Ray won again with no bet worries– he had a runaway.
Here’s the Final Jeopardy! video from Thursday’s game, with one of the easy clues and the weird bets.
