I was watching Jeopardy! all by myself this week with the hit and miss TV schedule. My experience with the final clues was dismal for the semi-finals. Tuesday’s game had the only clue no one got, not even Jeopardy! James. The two final clues were a lot easier, and the easiest was in the last game.
There’s also this interview with the 3 finalists. In it James says it was really fitting that the last clue had to do with Japan because the seeds of his Jeopardy! odyssey were planted when he was just a kid and watched Jeopardy! with his Japanese grandmother. It’s so touching how much he appreciates the time his grandmother spent with him.
That brings James’ total Jeopardy! winnings up to $2,712,216. He’ll have to win a million dollar tournament to beat Ken Jenning’s total winnings ($3,200,700), and more than one to top Brad Rutter ($4,603,435).
