Boy, oh boy! What a crazy week this was. Two right on Monday’s FJ! clue was the best we were to see. A triple stumper on Tuesday was the worst. The other 3 FJ! clues all came back with only one correct response. That’s 5 correct responses out of a total of 15, which is one less than last week’s 6 out of 15.

This week’s winners:
Mon 10/20/25 $21,601 Dargan Ware
Tue 10/21/25 $22,599 Tom Devlin
Wed 10/22/25 $20,600 Tom Devlin
Thu 10/23/25 $30,000 Tom Devlin
Fri 10/24/25 $15,600 Shaan Mishra

Dargan Ware returned on Monday and won his second game. Expectations that Dargan would go on a long run looked sketchy at the end of the first round of Tuesday’s game, when Dargan had $3,800 to challenger Tom Devlin’s $15,600. Miraculously, Dargan not only caught up, he finished Double Jeopardy with $31,800 to Tom’s $27,200. Tom won the game anyway, with the most money left after a triple stumper. Dargan’s 2-day total was $47,801.

Anticipation of a long run now turned to Tom and he did win 2 more games, generally leaving his opponents in the dust. Tom lost on Friday when he got FJ! wrong and Shaan Mishra got it right! Tom won $73,199 and set 2 Season 42 records: (1) the highest score at the end of the Jeopardy! round; and (2) 33 correct responses in one game. Tom also had the top payday of the week but Shaan will be the returning champ on Monday.

Jeopardy! paid out $110,400 in winnings this week plus $25K in consolation prizes. Dargan and Tom each got $3K to add to their winnings.

Here is the SOME CLOWNS MEAN WELL category from Wednesday’s game.
