Matt is truly fantastic. I never ever heard of PRIBILOF in the 2K question. I am very impressed. I would hate to go up against Matt.

  3. William Weyser says:

$47,000 is the biggest 1-Day winning total for this season, and $194,800 is the 5th highest 6-Day Total ever, behind Larissa Kelly, Roger Craig, Austin Rogers & James Holzhauer.

When was the last time you posted a Jeopardy! video on your YouTube channel?

  4. Jeopardy! lover says:

Wow! Matt is like James Holzhauer, in a way. I hope he makes $200,000 tomorrow!

  5. Zig says:

Burton is terrible. Can’t wait for the week to end.

  6. Sammi says:

    Impressive!!

I got quite a laugh at Levar Burton’s understatement at the end of the second round: “Matt, you have a sizeable lead”

  7. Lou says:

OMG is definitely right. Matt has played well so far this season just like Zach Newkirk did previously. Amanda couldn’t get things rolling since Matt had a runaway game again. I would have loved to see a triple solve here too if Saya stayed with her original response VJ. Overall a good game by all the players. matt seems to be betting big on the subjects that he knows very well and betting low on the ones he doesn’t have much confidence in. I like that sort of strategy in jeopardy players. Do you think Matt could get to James Holzahauer’s total winnings, @jacob?

    • Jacob Ska says:

Lou, I really don’t know if Matt can reach the milestone of James Holzhauer or not but his performance has been impressive so far. I do agree with you that he wagers big on categories in his wheelhouse and wagers low on categories not in his wheelhouse. That is a smart strategy imo. As a Clint Eastwood character as Dirty Harry in the movie Magnum Force said “a man’s got to know his limitations.” It appears that phrase is paying out big dividends for Matt so far.

  8. Kevin Cheng says:

OMG indeed, will tomorrow be the day that Matt be the first player this season to make it to the 200k mark or will one of the players put an end to his streak? We’ll find out tomorrow.
