This morning, we were talking about how we got the right response to FJ! on Spoiler Talk. I got it from the War Approach. I always remember the dates of the Franco-Prussian War because of this short story by Alphonse Daudet called “The Last Class”. When the war ended, France surrendered most of Alsace and parts of Lorraine to the new German Empire. A schoolboy tells how that affected him in this story.
The way Rhonda got it is even better: the Soap Opera Approach. She recently saw a storyline involving poison (the antidote: Prussian Blue) on the Young and the Restless, after seeing a similar one a few years ago on General Hospital. She figured out the other country from there.
Yes, that was it, thalium poisoning! The poor guy nearly died, thank goodness the doctors figured out in time that Prussian Blue was called for. LOL The Soap Opera Approach, I love that, VJ! You never cease to amaze me with your diligence and thoroughness!
Good win today by Courtney. I definitely hope she can end the string of leader curses. Since veronica had won four games last year I think Courtney could do what veronica did. Indigo wasn’t a bad guess but it wasn’t close. I heard of Prussian blue but not french blue.
I definitely hope she becomes a 4x champ or a 5x champ or maybe even a 999999999999x champ in the future beating Ken Jennings!
