What began as a rousing battle with two strong challengers evolved into a rout. Matt was barely heard from in the 2nd round, and his FJ answer of two royals who died hundreds of years apart was pathetic. The Churchill part was easy but I blanked on the Iron Lady. Knew the first DD and guessed right on the last.

The stumpers were really tough, although the Irish river probably was gettable, and one of them should have come up with the 11-word “in the” phrase.

Erin was half correct on this triple stumper. It’s been a rough week for FJ! Only 2 out of 15 correct responses in Final this week. Hopefully next week’s Finals will be easier.

I hope so. This is the 200th episode of the season. I wanted something, anything, to celebrate the occasion, and this is what we get.

    • VJ says:

I didn’t think FJ was too hard. The man seemed like the obvious choice, and I thought the woman was a good match in occupation and popularity. I would have picked those 2 on stage w/o bothering to second guess myself.

I also got all the animal metaphors. Adam exclaimed OH! outloud when he realized how he blew it (11-words).

The selfish person $1000 clue I know from Wuthering Heights. It’s in the book & the 2026 movie. Isabella calls Cathy that because she thinks Cathy doesn’t love Heathcliff but Cathy doesn’t want Isabella to have him either.
