Jeopardy continues to feed the host the incorrect accentuation of Simon Bolivar. The aacent on Bolivar is on the second syllable “li” NOT the last .
I’ve always pronounced it (mostly in my head) with the stress on the final syllable, but sure enough there is an accent on the ‘i’ in his last name.
Interestingly, Wikipedia provides pronunciations for both Spanish and English, and does not show an accent on the ‘i’ for the English pronunciations. I’ve never seen that before – where a Spanish word/name has an explicit accent but the proscribed English translation ignores it. It’s almost like English speakers got it wrong for so many years that linguists just gave up and said “OK, go ahead and pronounce it wrong if you speak English. I guess that’s fine.”
The final category was just too easy. Actually, it took me a couple of seconds to come up with ‘Force’.
I bet Brad Rutter is angry and disappointed that he was passed over as a guest host in favor of Buzzy Cohen.

Lindsay should have bet everything on her second Daily Double. That would have been her only chance to win.
Well Patrick played a great game today without betting anything since he already had a big win. Lindsay couldn’t even keep up with him, but I am glad that Patrick and Lindsay got FJ since I took college physics a long time ago and learned about force in general. there is a general formula for calculating force which is F = ma. force can cause an object with mass to change its velocity (which includes to begin moving from a state of rest), i.e., to accelerate. Force can also be described intuitively as a push or a pull.
