WHO IS FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA?

“The Godfather” (1972) was nominated for a slew of Oscars. Director, Francis Ford Coppola and “Godfather” author, Mario Puzo won Best Writing (for a screenplay adapted from another medium). Actor Jack Lemmon presented the award to Coppola and Puzo’s daughter. Coppola was also nominated for Best Director; however he lost to Bob Fosse (Cabaret).

Coppola and Puzo also won the Best Writing award for the sequel Godfather Part II (1974). This time, Puzo accepted the award from author James Michener (who obviously had seen “Young Frankenstein”). Coppola won for Best Director this time.

Frances thought it was Mike Nichols. She lost her $10,900 bet and finished with $100.

Aaron got it right. He added $10,827 to his score, bringing him up to $22,027.

Sam came up with Tarantino. That cost him $3,201. He landed in second place with $15,999. Aaron Craig was super excited to become the new Jeopardy! champ.

If only it was a different clue on that Daily Double, and Sam got that right, he would have made the game a runaway, and the results would have been different.

Sorry, Paul, but VJ does a terrific job getting this info out EVERY weekday. There isn’t another site like this and I, for one, am grateful for the effort. Keep up the good work, VJ. You are appreciated!!

Thanks for the support, Sam. I appreciate it.

Paul, if you have a suggestion that is a lot less vague, the proper way to address it would be through the email address on the contact us page.

Have you ever thought about updating this website? It’s nice having access to Jeopardy answers and questions but this site feels a bit dated.

Are you seeking employment as a Web designer? That’s the only reason someone would ask such a question of a superbly formatted website. Reminds me of the Encyclopedia Britannica salesperson who used to go door to door to ask parents if they would like to prepare their four-year-old kid for College.

I was going to say something about trolling on the internet, but your response is so much better than mine is, Jacob.

Boy what a game today, All three played well though I am surprised only one person knew about The Godfather director. And Tarantino was the director of Kill Bill featuring David Carradine and Uma Thurman. Let’s hope Aaron can keep his win going. I was hoping Sam could make a comeback today VJ.
