I like the question about ‘The Thin Man’ because too many questions are geared toward the younger crowd. I like a question that can really only be answered by a person over 60 or a younger person who knows entertainment history. Too bad there aren’t more questions like that.
Finally hit a FJ after 4 strikeouts. And nailed several of the stumpers too. Probably fitting because today is the 35th anniversary of my one-off appearance on the show. One bad missed guess on a big-$ clue in double Jeopardy cost me $10400 and a return visit. I was running the US States category, including a DD, and took a chance on the bottom clue, which I’ve long regretted. Had just under half of what the champ had, so it was moot when I bet it all and hit FJ but still lost by a little bit when she missed FJ. My “prize” was a trip to the Bahamas, which I waived because of taxes and travel terms it came with. Great experience, though, and I was one of the first 1500-1600 to make it onto the current version of the show. This was in the dark ages when there was a 5-win limit and clues were worth half what they are now.
Ray cleaned up this week with 7 games won. Congrats to him. Also merry Christmas and happy holidays to you Vj
Congratulations to Ray Lalonde and the happiest of holidays to VJ (and Nikki)! Hope the new year is your best ever.
Thanks Sam, I thought of you today on that Chief triple stumper 😀
Thanks, VJ . Once the clue showed Washington Territory, it became a lot more obvious (at least to west coasters) The ice box is slowly thawing but weather is pushing eastward. Hope you and yours are safe.
Ray Lalonde has swept the week and became the second Canadian to win 7 games. Have a merry Christmas and happy holidays VJ.
Thanks, Kevin, Happy Holidays to you and to every Fikkle Fame visitor.
I truly hope the extreme weather doesn’t mess up anyone’s holiday plans and if Santa pays you a visit, I hope you get something wonderful!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and your family as well, VJ! I bet the twins can hardly wait to see what Santa will bring them!
