Looks like they upped the difficulty, especially this game.

  2. Michelle says:

Question, Kate answered a question in double jeopardy the answer was “who framed Roger rabbit” Her answer was “Who framed Roger Rabbit” not “what is Who framed Roger Rabbit” it wasn’t corrected. Did I miss something or did the judges?

    • VJ says:

Hi Michelle, the rule is that you have to answer in the form of a question. Her response was already in question form so there was no need to add “What is”

      • Howard says:

Also, they were not looking for the exact title, just the name of the character. So her question was phrased properly, even though all she had to say was “Roger Rabbit.”

I had a feeling someone would wonder about her response publicly.

We end the week with all 3 DDs missed resulting our third skunking and a triple stumper in the Final.

Another demonstration of contestants’ difficulty with plays and musicals. I would put myself in that category, as I missed the clue as well. I can do pretty well on playwrights and basic plot lines, but anything deeper than that is tough, as it’s just not a genre I have a lot of interest in. I try to watch film adaptations when I see them on Amazon or Netflix, but I often find them too melodramatic and have trouble getting engaged in the story.

  5. Lou says:

Those daily doubles were not that hard. Not knowing Sandra day O’Connor or Ponce De Leon? Kendra should have just bet 2500 dollars and still win even if she doesn’t get final jeopardy. Nizar made too many bad guesses.

Yet another day when the 2nd placer before FJ shows math ineptitude. You are so far ahead of the last placer that u don’t have to cover for him doubling up. SO JUST STAY PUT! HOW HARD IS THAT TO UNDERSTAND? You can’t beat the leader if she gets FJ right. SO STAY PUT and hope. If Kendra had done that, she’d be the winner today.
This keeps happening and is so annoying.

    • VJ says:

I hope you can stop letting this irritate you, klm, if for no other reason than it’s just not going to stop happening for a variety of reasons. Also, thanks for your comment on the Master Minds recaps. Glad you are liking them.

It is pretty funny that this play/film turned up in FJ today. We were just talking about it yesterday — how when Nikki was a little girl, she knew all the songs, even Officer Krupke. lol. My favorite song is “America” – gotta love George Chakiris and Rita Moreno!

“Also, thanks for your comment on the Master Minds recaps. Glad you are liking them.”
        You’re welcome VJ.

    • JP says:

I think Kendra should have bet $2,801. This would ensure a win for her if she was correct and the leader bet $0. A $0 bet by the leader would be justified if she thought she was weak on the category, or if she thought Kendra would follow your strategy and bet nothing.

And with a bet of $2,801, if Kendra gets it wrong, she ends with $6,399, which still wins if the leader bets to cover Kendra and gets it wrong, which would leave her at $5,599.

There’s certainly no justification for her wager of $5,500 though.
